What is the "Browser support" option made for?

In the settings of each wallet application on your Nano S or on your Blue, you can see the "Browser support" option. This setting is helpful to switch from using your Ledger device with its native Ledger Wallet application to using another application, like MyEtherWallet for example.

 

 


DISABLE THE BROWSER SUPPORT to use your Nano S or your Blue with

  • the Ledger Wallet application, 
  • Electrum 
  • Mycelium
  1. Connect your Nano S or your Blue
  2. Open the concerned app on the device itself (the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Ripple, application for examples) by pressing both buttons
  3. Disable the "Browser support" setting:
  4. ON A NANO S
    - scroll with the right button to find the "settings", press both buttons to open them
    - scroll with the right button to find the "browser support", press both buttons to open it
    - select NO by pressing both buttons to disable the browser support
    ON A BLUE
    - tap on the top left menu
    - disable the "browser support" by taping on it to make the slider displayed in grey

  • MyEtherWallet
  • Copay
  • GreenAddress
  1. Connect your Nano S or your Blue
  2. Open the concerned app on the device itself (the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Ripple, application for examples) by pressing both buttons
  3. Disable the "Browser support" setting:

ON A NANO S
- scroll with the right button to find the "settings", press both buttons to open them
- scroll with the right button to find the "browser support", press both buttons to open it
- select YES by pressing both buttons to enable the browser support
ON A BLUE
- tap on the top left menu
- enable the "browser support" by taping on it to make the slider displayed in green
