"Transaction rejected" on Ethereum wallet

If the issue persists, please try sending this same transaction again using MyEtherWallet instead of the Ledger Wallet application following this guide

If you see the "Transaction failed / Transaction rejected by the server" error message on the Ledger Wallet Ethereum application, it means that your transaction can't be validated for some reason. It may be:

  • because another application launched on your computer prevents the Ledger Wallet application to work properly (like Mist, Geth, Parityn Electrum, etc.)
=> Close all the other applications running at the same time, reboot your PC, disconnect your Ledger device and try again.

  • Ledger's node servers disruption => need to wait for the servers to be back online.

  • due to too low gas fees
=> set your gas options in the advanced settings

  • because your transaction was sent to a contract address
=> this kind of transactions is not supported by Ledger devices, but you can manage it through MyEtherWallet: see How to use MyEtherWallet with Ledger

After a while - it can be a few hours up to a few days / weeks, according to blockchain behaviour - your transaction will be rejected by the blockchain network and your balance will be recredited. The transaction itself will remain rejected, even if your balance is correct.

If the balance is not correct, it seems you need to reinstall your application.

    1. In your Chrome browser go to chrome://extensions/

    2. Click on the bin below "Ledger Wallet Ethereum" to uninstall the Ledger Wallet Ethereum

    3. Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ledger-wallet-ethereum/hmlhkialjkaldndjnlcdfdphcgeadkkm to reinstall the application

    4. Click on the "Add to Chrome" blue button

If the issue persists, please try sending this same transaction again using MyEtherWallet instead of the Ledger Wallet application following this guide
